Mit dem HP Virtual Connect Flex-10/10D-Modul für c-Class BladeSystem können Administratoren die Netzwerkbandbreite auf Serverseite genau abstimmen. VC Flex-10/10D Module leiten Datenverkehr über schnelle 10 GB-Verbindungen mit HP FlexFabric Adaptern um. Jedes Modul ermöglicht vier anpassbare Verbindungen (drei für Daten und eine für Speicher oder alle für Daten) zu jedem 10-GB-Serveranschluss. Mithilfe eines Geräts,das den Datenverkehr innerhalb der Gehäuse konvergiert und eine direkte Verbindung mit einer Upstream-FCoE-Bridge herstellt,werden bis zu 95 % der Zunahme von Netzwerkkomponenten verhindert. Zahlreiche Ethernet- und Fibre Channel-Switches, Erweiterungsmodule, Kabel und Softwarelizenzen werden nicht mehr benötigt. Auf diese Weise werden Probleme im Zusammenhang mit herkömmlichen und anderen konvergenten Netzwerklösungen vermieden. Darüber hinaus ist das Virtual Connect-Verbindungsmanagement für die einmalige Verkabelung integriert. So können Server innerhalb von Minuten (statt wie bisher Tagen) hinzugefügt,verschoben oder ersetzt werden.
